The man-made GLUTEN INTOLERANCE…Almost-SECRET EPIDEMIC … conspiracy?

Read the whole thing please.  You or someone you know very well may have gluten intolerance and have no idea–and knowing could prevent you from having other associated problems the rest of your life, which get worse the more gluten intolerance goes untreated.

This article is not just for “conspiracy theorists” –it’s for everyone.  Read even if you’re not looking for a conspiracy, as most of it is background anyway.

The man-made GLUTEN INTOLERANCE…Almost-SECRET EPIDEMIC … conspiracy? Maybe, maybe not.  Take your pick, but here are the facts-

Gluten is everywhere

It’s in:

  • Wheat products
  • “Food additives: Hydrolyzed vegetable protein, Modified food starch, Dextrin, Natural flavorings, Artificial flavorings, Anything labeled an extract, Vanilla flavoring, Malt flavoring
  • Pre-prepared foods: Soups, Stews, Salad dressings, Sauces, Imitation ‘Krab’, Imitation ‘meat’ products for vegetarians, Gravies, Anything that is thickened or ‘creamy’
  • ‘Natural’ products: Veined cheesed like blue cheese, Roquefort and Stilton, Brown rice syrup, Soy sauce, Malt vinegar, Textured vegetable protein, Anything in bulk ‘bins’. The bin may contain residue from a previous product or may have been contaminated by someone who came before you, Any non gluten grains that are made in the same plant or with the same equipment with gluten containing products.
  • Alcohol: Distilled/’hard’ liquor, beer
  • Many Supplements and medications”(– Check manufacturer or switch brands
  • Cosmetics

My health story

As a kid, I got frequent nosebleeds, headaches, and tons of cavities.  Now, I have anxiety, hypersensitivity, a billion food allergies including almost all nuts, irregular bowels, lactose intolerance, frequent UTIs, yeast infections, cankersores, dry bumpy skin on my arms, random sore throats, drandrift, teeth grinding, headaches, cavities, weight irregularity, temperature irregularity, asthma induced by cold-sickness-exercise, anorgasmia, chest pains, painless muscle pulse spasms, excessive sweating, burping, mono, pilonidal cyst, numbness and tingling, an undiagnosed reading disability, and generally just a bad immune system.

And I’ve gotten meds for much of it, which most of the time didn’t do much.  I went to a gluten free RN, Nadine Grzeskowiak (  She told me that I probably have gluten intolerance, probably that because it takes a 4-6 week detox diet to find out, and tests aren’t reliable for this because they hardly ever pick up on it.  She also said that I’ve been super abnormally sick in the last 2 years, and that this stuff was just my body being totally upset and confused because of the gluten, but not recognizing that it was the gluten. She said that I’m an average case. She said that most of it will go away, that my allergies will disappear, and that I won’t be needing an epi pen ever.

My mom is looking into gluten intolerance as well, and the only thing keeping her from being sure is the fact that she loves wheat products, thinks her stomach loves them too, and that they’re the one thing she doesn’t need a digestive pill for—but Nadine says that doesn’t matter at all.  It’s the lactose intolerance that’s the real red flag, because almost everyone with lactose intolerance is gluten intolerant as well.

After learning that, my mom looked into all of our family members, extended and close, and what a coincidence, many of them have the symptoms matching up.

I’ve just been reading & thinking about my new disease, and wondering if it’s just a mass coincidence.

No one can digest gluten.  “Virtually all cereal grains contain toxic “prolamines,” which are proteins that are extremely tough for humans to digest. The human gut is not equipped to break down prolamines small enough to absorb any nutrients from them. These toxic prolamines give the plant a protection mechanism for their survival (since they can’t get up and run away).” (

For the many, it just passes through their system with no nutritional value, but nothing upset either. 1/3 (I’ve also heard 50%) of people are susceptible to gluten intolerance, but many go undiagnosed. “Currently, it is estimated that one out of one hundred Americans has celiac disease. That works out to be approximately 3 MILLION people. Of those, only 3% are diagnosed with celiac disease. My educated guess is that the numbers of people affected by celiac disease and gluten intolerance are MUCH higher than currently reported and will continue to increase. Celiac disease is more than four times more common today than 50 years ago.

Those who go untreated, undiagnosed

“If left untreated, celiac disease can lead to over 300 associated signs and symptoms including lymphoma, bowel cancers, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, psoriasis, anemia and much, much more.”  Its symptoms basically fall under every everything, and generally just gets worse and worse.  “Individuals who are genetically predisposed to have celiac disease or gluten intolerance will have an inflammatory auto-immune response that can and does affect every organ system in the body.” (glutenfreern)

The Specific Carbohydrate Diet: Lifelong untreated celiac disease can kill a person. And sometimes, living gluten-free isn’t enough.  Read this story to learn more: (a series of scientific posts uncovering why gluten-free isn’t enough for many).  Mayo clinic has done research that claimed only 40% completely heal from a gluten-free diet—and that means 60% don’t heal completely, and still have leaky gut and/or autoimmunity.  Another study showed that only 8% of adults fully healed from the damage of celiac disease.  Those with this problem should look into the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) & lifestyle (  &

“Diverse problems such as dental anomalies, short stature, osteopaenic bone disease, lactose intolerance, and infertility and many others may be the only manifestations of coeliac disease.”  – Dr Joseph Murray, Am J Clin Nut March 1999 (

“50 percent of those who are gluten intolerant only show psychological signs.” -Gluten free RN

Because of this, people can have celiac’s disease and not know it.

“40-60% of people with celiac disease report no symptoms.” –Gluten free RN  … So it could be you.

Risk Factors— Those with risk factors should be tested because they have a greater chance of developing celiac.

Family members of gluten sensitive/celiac patients, Delayed puberty particularly in girls, Deafness and hearing loss, Cardiovascular disease, microscopic colitis, hepatitis C, autoimmune liver disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, Schizophrenia, any psychiatric disorder, alcoholism, hypothryroidism, lupus, alopecia, sjogren’s syndrome, polymyositis/dermatamyositis, scleroderma, dermatitis herpetiformis, mothers of children with neural tube effects, peripheral neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, cerebellar ataxia, idiopathic seizure disorder, down’s syndrome, Lou Gherig’s disease, and many symptoms & misdiagnoses above.

The effects of not knowing: Big profit, much sickness

Those with celiac disease have symptoms continue forever without knowing the root cause, instead simply treating the symptoms and being misdiagnosed. By continuing on like this, Celiacs are misinformed, unable to prevent or stop symptoms, and they are supporting the pharmaceutical industry and the health industry. Gluten didn’t used to be in our food hardly at all–until wheat got hybridized to have 40-500% more gluten. It’s not healthy, and no one digests it. So why did they do it? That’s our big question.

What’s hybridized, you ask?  Is it the same as GMO?

According to my glutenfreern, there’s some controversy around whether it’s technically genetically modified or not.  Some say yes, others say not exactly—The natural recovery plan ( claims that in the last few decades, they’ve increased the engineering of the plant from hybridized wheat into a transgenic wheat.  “This genetic engineering of wheat has resulted in a crop that is no longer classifiable as a plant, but is now considered a genetically modified organism (GMO).

Wheat has been and is being engineered to:

  • Produce greater yields
  • Improve quality
  • Be disease and insect resistant
  • Require less nitrogen to grow
  • Require less pesticides and herbicides
  • Increase the glutenin content
  • Be resistant to drought
  • Be tolerant of heat
  • Reduce wheat’s allergenicity
  • Increase the nutritional value
  • Be resistant to aluminium contamination of the soil
  • Enhance wheat’s lignans which may have anti-cancer properties and
  • Boost the human immune system using human genes!”
  • Sounds like GMO to me.

While some support genetically modifying food because of the claims that it will end hunger, and feed the growing population, concerns about genetically engineered wheat include:

  • “The introduction of DNA changes in humans that no one can predict.
  • The creation of super-weeds that will be resistant to herbicides as disease-resistance is transferred between plant species.
  • The creation of super-bugs as antibiotic resistance is transferred to microorganisms.
  • Contamination of conventional or organic crops, as wheat is pollinated by the wind. In 1999 scientists in Thailand claimed to have found transgenic wheat in a grain shipment from the United States, even though at the time it had not been approved for sale and had only ever been grown in test plots.
  • The main claim is that such crops will require less pesticide, but so far this has proven unfounded and since the companies that provide the pesticides are the ones creating the transgenic crops, a conflict of interest has been observed.
  • Transgenic crops become the intellectual property of the company that created them and farmers using such crops have to agree to stringent conditions including being unable to collect the seeds to replant. Monsanto has engineered crops specifically to require the use of their fertilisers and this means that farmers in developing countries in particular can be held to ransom by large multinational corporations.”
  • Transgenic wheat produced by Monsanto is currently being grown in Argentina and the United States and has passed in-house environmental risk assessments and US government regulatory agencies have approved its use. Reception in the developed world has been cool and farmers have been concerned about the saleability of transgenic crops. This has led Monsanto to appear to have set its sights upon penetrating the developing world markets – starting with India.

Learn more about the science behind hybridization here,

Can I just get the old, non-hybridized wheat?

No, it’s not sold or made anymore.  When agriculture changed to the wheat we have now, a hybrid, it change completely, and did not save the old version’s seeds.  Even organic wheat is a hybrid.

GMOs increase yield & end hunger?

The myth that genetically modified food will help the planet by ending hunger has been debunked.  In an interview about Genetic Roulette, a documentary on GMOs, “Mark Karlin asked: ‘One of the things that you respond to in Genetic Roulette is the claim by the agrichemical industry that GMOs increase crop yield. Is this true?’Jeffrey Smith, a leading national expert on the dangers of GMOs, said According to a Union of Concerned Scientists’ report, Failure to Yield, GMOs do not increase yield. In fact on average they reduce yield. This is one of the many myths perpetrated by the biotech industry. GMOs work against feeding the hungry world; they increase the use of agricultural chemicals; they do not increase farmer income; and they are not safe” (  I believe that the possible (and proven) dangerous effects of genetically modifying food is well worth the risk of staying safe, and so is banning, or at least mandatory labeling, of all genetically modified food.

The labeling is ridiculous.

Wheat is addictive, didn’t you know?

It’s why wheat is a comfort food, why you can crave it, the food that makes people fat most of the time. It’s why I’m having withdrawal symptoms right now, in my 4-6 week detox diet.

“Q: You write that wheat is “addictive,” but does it really meet the criteria for addiction we’d use when talking about, say, drugs?

A: National Institutes of Health researchers showed that gluten-derived polypeptides can cross into the brain and bind to the brain’s opiate receptors. So you get this mild euphoria after eating a product made with whole wheat. You can block that effect [in lab animals] by administering the drug naloxone. This is the same drug that you’re given if you’re a heroin addict; it’s an opiate blocker. About three months ago, a drug company applied to the FDA to commercialize naltrexone, which is an oral equivalent to naloxone. And it works, apparently, it blocks the pleasurable feelings you get from eating wheat so people stop eating so much. In clinical trials, people lost about 22.4 lb. in the first six months. Why, if you’re not a drug addict, do you need something like that? And of course there’s another option, which is to cut wheat out of your diet. However, and this is another argument for classifying wheat as addictive, people can experience some pretty unpleasant withdrawal symptoms” (

Allergy Diagnoses

**I believe that allergies hiding in gluten intolerance is just one piece of the big pie.  Any of the symptoms or misdiagnoses could have tons of information linking to gluten intolerance, but I chose to focus on allergies.  Focusing on it does not mean that I find less of a connection in the others, as I could easily research the connections of ADHD, autism, schizophrenia, and many many others.

As I said, my gluten-free nurse says that all my allergies will disappear (and it’s already started happening). So will my gluten intolerance. Imagine the potential of full diagnoses, people being healed.

Think about peanut allergies. TONS of kids have them all over; it’s literally an epidemic, peanut allergies alone rising 117 per cent between 2001 and 2005 (–and-how-can-medicine-combat-them-403636.html).   The amount of people, especially kids, with allergies has skyrocketed in the last 20 years.  But did you know that many seemingly unrelated symptoms and misdiagnoses in a persons’s life, such as ADHD, autism, mental health, and much more… can be solved by looking into the possibility of allergies as a cause? “Food and/or chemical allergies can create emotional, behavioral and mental symptoms such as panic attacks, compulsive behavior, depression, psychotic episodes, or hallucinations? They can also contribute to many less severe mental and emotional symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, inability to concentrate, or feelings of being in a mental “fog”. A surprising number of people have been able to eliminate such troubling symptoms simply by removing the allergens from their diet or living environment” (

Dr. Rapp is the leading doctor in the field of really diagnosing allergies.  This youtube video,,  is basically proof that doctors aren’t diagnosing allergies for things they could be. …maybe because they just don’t know, or because.. instead, they can diagnose mental health problems and give out adhd and psychotic and psychiatric drugs, simply covering up the symptoms.

“[A study in which] two groups of schizophrenics admitted to a psychiatric ward and placed on different diets, revealed that those placed on the cereal-free, milk-free diet improved more quickly and were discharged from the hospital in half the time of the group given the standard diet.” Gluten was determined to be the prominent allergen” (

CNN says “Scientists are still trying to figure out why food allergies seem to be on the rise, especially in industrialized countries such as the United States. Are children not getting exposed to enough bacteria? Should they eat common allergens such as nuts and shellfish at an earlier age?” (

I have heard many times that celiac tests often don’t pick up on the disease, and thus it is hard to diagnose.  But I’ve also heard that blood tests are the least accurate, that stool samples are more effective, and a brochure right in front of me says lists 17 different types of tests, which can be ordered online at  My experience two years ago was that my doctor took a blood test and it came out negative, and that was that.

Do doctors really think this works, and are scientists still not sure why food allergies are on the rise especially in industrialized countries?  I don’t believe any of that.  What about all the synthetic food we’re eating, all the unnatural practices we have, all the vaccinations we’re required or highly recommended to take,  all the unsustainable toxic chemicals we fill our environments and bodies with?  And all the undiagnosed celiac cases caused by messing with biology?  Sure, tell me there’s no known cause to allergies.  Go ahead and say you don’t know.

A peak into Gluten’s effect on Cognition, Emotion, Behaviors, Social Interactions, Learning

“In a recent study of randomly selected 2,427healthy adults, undiagnosed silent celiac disease was significantly associated with underachievement as measured by education, unemployment, and socio-economic status. These subjects were 4 times less likely to enter college.”

Research the subjects more, and/or check out these PDF slideshows:

Go ahead and also look at this opinion piece in the New York Times, An Immune Disorder at the Root of Autism:

Also, here’s a PDF called Intertwined: Celiac Disease, Autism, and Gluten Free Diets…A Patient Perspective:

I am not claiming that gluten is the only factor of these disorders, although it could be in some people, but I do think they’re related and they need to be researched more and acted on.

So put this together and connect the dots

If a shocking percentage of behavior and mental health problems are actually solvable allergy symptoms, and a number of allergic people are actually misdiagnosed… those who now fall under categories of allergy might actually also fall under gluten intolerance symptoms and misdiagnoses, proving that much of the business of mental and behavioral diagnoses is undiagnosed gluten-intolerance cover up FRAUD, letting the system benefit from letting those with celiac disease go undiagnosed and untreated.

With so many people having allergies (and so many other symptoms & misdiagnoses), could many be solved with a gluten-free diet? I sure think so!

Gluten Intolerance Cover Up & Its Effects on Major Industries

Hospital, Pharmaceitucal, & Genetic Modification Industries

This gluten-intolerance cover up obviously leads to many more auto-immune diseases, getting worse and worse as the gluten intolerance goes untreated, not only benefiting hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry, but also benefiting the Genetically Modified food industry.  Why the GM industry?  Think about this: if you knew you were gluten intolerant because wheat is essentially hybridized and/or genetically modified, and that before the engineering, gluten intolerance cases were far and few, you would realize that there is a direct causation between messing with a plant’s biology and the effects of health.  And if gluten intolerant people knew about their disease and its cause, and wanted to treat it, they would be boycotting wheat products and possibly GMOs altogether.  That would be a catastrophe for the industries, seeing as so many people are gluten intolerant—remember, possibly up to 1/3 of people, although many people who aren’t gluten intolerant also feel better on a gluten-free diet, too., and that 99% percent of them aren’t diagnosed (but are, instead, diagnosed with other things, symptoms and misdiagnoses).  Talk about losing business.  We can’t have that.  What if people grew so concerned and educated about genetically modifying food that they wanted to ban it?  Catastrophe.  We can’t have that.

And the health & pharmaceutical industries, what would they think when many of their customers were healed from simply avoiding gluten and letting their bodies heal? They would drastically lose business, too.  What about the food additives, junk foods, fast foods, and brain killing toxin industries?  This would mean trouble, widespread concern and change of diet and choices among many.

Diet Industry

The diet industry benefits from gluten intolerance obesity.  Even the cosmetic industry benefits from gluten intolerance acne and rash symptoms.  Other profits go to the counseling industry, behavior specialists in schools, crime rates all due to gluten-induced mental/behavioral health issues, as well as researchers on these symptoms, misdiagnoses, and associated disorders/diseases all with “unknown causes.”

Fashion & Beauty Industries, Cosmetic Industry, Food Industry, and others

Do you buy a new shirt, new car, or candy bar when you’re already happy, or do you do it to make yourself feel good on a bad day? One study said found that “79% of women say that going on a spending spree would cheer them up” ( And how many people who overspend their money are they happy with their lives?—Few.  The theory is that if people buy more when they feel bad about themselves, which means low self-esteem is good for profits.  We know that media uses seemingly happy actors with perfect body images and super perfect products to make you wish you had that lifestyle which makes you want those products or body image, etc. This business of media and advertising preys on those who are unhappy susceptible people, which means that those with gluten-induced symptoms such as eating disorders, mental health issues, and even acne which decrease self confidence…  These victimized people become great consumers, profitable for the fashion industry, and really any industry relying on consumers wishing they had a better life—cars, food, diet, much more.  It would be a catastrophe for the consumerist world if we no longer had a culture relying on retail therapy, as businesses would crash and would not know how to solve the problem of too much life satisfaction.

Was wheat ever good for us?  Who knows, but we know refined wheat with gluten never was.

“The archeological fossil record indicates that the introduction of the agrarian diet coincided with a massive decline in the health and vitality of the population. Prior to this time there was no evidence of degenerative diseases or tooth decay, but with agriculture both men and women lost considerable height which has only now been recovered after 10,000 years. There is also evidence that there was a massive increase in infant mortality at this time. So it may be that wheat – hybridized or not – was never good news for human health.

“More recent evidence supports the notion that modern ills including diabetes, obesity and heart disease have their origins in the refining of foods which has stripped out the nutrient content and created multiple mineral and vitamin deficiencies in the human population.

“There is also a significant link between mercury toxicity largely acquired from dental amalgam fillings and the development of food intolerances, particularly to gluten- and casein-containing foodstuffs. This is because mercury blocks the digestive enzymes involved. Possibly for this reason gluten intolerance appears to co-exist or play a causative role in conditions such as chronic fatigue, autism and attention deficit disorders” (

Vaccines to save the epidemic–the one that doctors don’t diagnose 99% of: plan for 2017

Just a note: if they’re making a vaccine for it, they obviously know that celiac disease is everywhere, contrary to what diagnosing only 1-3% implies.

So there’s an epidemic going on, really. Luckily, here to save the day are the makers of a celiac vaccine, ready to give everyone just one more vaccine, so that those with gluten intolerance will be able to take some drugs that tell the body to ignore the no signs, and then just keep eating wheat that’s been hybridized and/or genetically modified. That’s like a vaccine to make it so that we can all eat genetically modified everything–but, don’t we already know that vaccines and GMOs mean bad news? Didn’t we already run into vaccines causing sickness more than helping?  (   It’s the same with flu shots, Japan tried mandatory flu vaccinations during the 1980s… and concluded that “flu vaccination was ineffective and was no more than a serious financial and legal liability if it was to continue” ( “It would be like having a vaccine for smokers to prevent lung cancer. Why not just quit smoking?” (

Note: Some medical professionals think that gluten-free is a fad, and that those who haven’t been diagnosed with gluten-free shouldn’t go gluten-free, because, supposedly, testing celiac disease will for sure tell whether or not a person is sensitive to gluten.  The celiac community disagrees with this, as do some medical professionals.  It’s just plain not true: gluten intolerance and celiac disease are different, and one reason is because celiac disease shows up on a test most of the time, while gluten intolerance usually doesn’t.  Telling patients to not go gluten-free until a doctor agrees because of a positive test result is ridiculous flawed advice, as many gluten intolerant people clearly react to gluten (once they’ve had the gluten-free detox trial), but still have negative test results.  This phenomenon is called non-celiac gluten intolerance/sensitivity, and is the reason we think that gluten intolerance is much more prevalent than mainstream doctors come to think.

Fox Shepard November 28, 2012

The documents and information released by Bradley Manning changed the face of the American Military forever. Long had stories been talked of and spread of atrocities committed by the U.S and its soldiers, but up until the release of information by Wikileaks, none other than those there could see it with their own eyes.

On May 29, 2010, at the Forward Operating Base Hammer outside Baghdad, where he was working as an intelligence analyst, Pvt. Manning was arrested in connection with the largest breach in American history. Manning, 24, was charged with 22 counts, including espionage and aiding the enemy. Manning accessed 250,000 US diplomatic cables, 500,000 army reports, and videos of the 2007 Baghdad airstrike and the 2009 Granai airstrike, and sent them to the whistleblower website WikiLeaks for publication in 2010. He is the only suspect arrested for his involvement in the security leak.

The picture from the left shows a clip of one of those videos, where the US is ordered to fire on civilians for absolutely no reason. Countless evidence of similar war crimes were released in the reports as well, and for the first time, people could see the information for themselves and decide what was really going on in the Middle East. Obviously this instantly caused an uproar in the Military as well as the corporate controlled media. They wouldn’t want the citizens to see the effects of the Military Industrial Complex.

So how did the information get from manning to WikiLeaks, and how was Manning caught? How did what has been described as the biggest news story since the Watergate scandal play out? And where does the case stand today?

The story begins with a troubled young man, who after having an often difficult childhood, financial troubles and stints of homelessness, joined the US armed forces and began basic training at “Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Manning, who was openly gay, joined the army mainly because he had nowhere stable to stay and no money to support himself. After six weeks, he was sent to the discharge unit. Manning had repeatedly been bullied, and was said to have been having a breakdown. According to a report by The Guardian, a soldier stated: “The kid was barely five foot … He was a runt, so pick on him. He’s crazy, pick on him. He’s a faggot, pick on him. The guy took it from every side. He couldn’t please anyone.” Denver Nicks writes that Manning, who was used to being bullied, fought back – if the drill sergeants screamed at him, he would scream at them – to the point where they started calling him “General Manning.” However, he was sent back to complete basic training, despite possible issues, because the army wanted his IT expertise. Manning had built his own website at ten, was later reported to be included in hacking, and said by his father to be”amazing with computers”

As Manning was shifted around different bases and eventually put in Iraq, he became isolated and alone. His gay lifestyle choice was not accepted by any near him, and between spending 15 hours a day in a dimly lit room for months, his only escape appeared to be within the internet. He made repeated Facebook posts about feeling alone, isolated, and confused. He spoke with Army counselors about being gay, (this was in 2009, before the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy was repealed), but didn’t feel as though anyone understood him. This was later glorified by the mainstream media as to why he released the info, because of his mental health and bullying.  It was at this time that it is believed that he first downloaded information on the Iraq War logs, and sent them to Julian Assange.

On January 8,2010, WikiLeaks tweeted that they had obtained “encrypted videos of US bomb strikes on civilians,” and linked to a story about the May 2009 “Granai airstrike” in Afghanistan. During the same month, Manning traveled to the United States via Germany for a two-week holiday, where Manning’s his former partner, Tyler Watkins, later said Bradley had downloaded sensitive information and was considering leaking it.

Manning was arrested after Adrian Lamo, a computer hacker, told the FBI that Manning had confided during online chats that he had downloaded material from these databases and passed it to WikiLeaks. Lamo, a computer hacker convicted in 2004 of hacking into The New York Times database, turned the encrypted emails over to the FBI after Manning made contact with Lamo on May 20,2010. Manning, who believed Lamo was a minister, and believed his conversations were private, confessed to sending WikiLeaks information as early as November 2009.
Excerpts from the online conversation included the following:

Bradley:  hypothetical question: if you had free reign over classified networks for long periods of time … say, 8–9 months … and you saw incredible things, awful things … things that belonged in the public domain, and not on some server stored in a dark room in Washington DC … what would you do? say … a database of half a million events during the Iraq war … from 2004 to 2009 … with reports, date time groups, lat-lon locations, casualty figures …? or 260,000 state department cables from embassies and consulates all over the world, explaining how the first world exploits the third, in detail, from an internal perspective? and … its important that it gets out … I feel, for some bizarre reason. I mean what if i were someone more malicious, I could have sold to Russia or China, and made bank?

Lamo: why didn’t you?

Bradley: because it’s public data, it belongs in the public domain, and information should be free.

This conversation reminds me of the constant battle in the Indiana Jones series, where he always wants things to be in a museum, but the governments want everything to be hidden or sold into private ownership and kept from public knowledge. Lamo was later criticized by the hacker community for exposing Manning to the FBI, despite his defense that “he thought he was saving lives”.

Manning said the incident that had affected him the most was when 15 detainees had been arrested by the Iraqi Federal Police for printing anti-Iraqi literature. He was asked by the army to find out who the “bad guys” were, and discovered that the detainees had followed what Manning said was a corruption trail within the Iraqi cabinet. He reported this to his commanding officer, but said “he didn’t want to hear any of it“; he said the officer told him to help the Iraqi police find more detainees. Manning said it made him realize, “I was actively involved in something that I was completely against …” He explained that “I can’t separate myself from others … I feel connected to everybody … like they were distant family.”

Manning was apprehended at the end of may, shortly after the conversations were leaked to the FBI. He was first arrested and held at “Camp Arifjan” in Kuwait, and later transferred to Quantico,Virginia, on July 29, 2010, and classified as a maximum custody detainee, with Prevention of Injury (POI) status. POI status is one stop short of suicide watch, entailing checks by guards every five minutes. His lawyer, “David Edward Coombs”, a former military attorney, said he was not allowed to sleep between 5 am (7 am at weekends) and 8 pm, and was made to stand or sit up if he tried to. He was required to remain visible at all times, including at night, which entailed no access to sheets, no pillow except one built into his mattress, and a blanket designed not to be shredded. Manning complained that he regarded it as Pretrial punishment.  Here he was held for over ten months confined in a closet size cell for 23 hours a day, alone. He was often stripped naked and left that way. He also claims he was harassed by guards throughout this time. As of yesterday, November 27, 2012, Manning has asked for all charges to be dropped because of inhumane treatment during this time.

Juan Mendez has completed a 14-month investigation into the treatment of Manning since the soldier’s arrest at a US Military base in May 2010. He concludes that the US military was at least culpable of cruel and inhumane treatment in keeping Manning locked up alone for 23 hours a day over an 11-month period in conditions that he also found might have constituted torture. Mendez is The UN special rapporteur on torture.
The special rapporteur concludes that imposing seriously punitive conditions of detention on someone who has not been found guilty of any crime is a violation of his right to physical and psychological integrity as well as of his presumption of innocence. The prolonged period of isolated confinement was believed to have been imposed in an effort to coerce him into ‘cooperation’ with the authorities, allegedly for the purpose of persuading him to implicate others.”

Manning’s lawyers have argued that the government had overstated the harm the release of the documents had caused, and had overcharged Manning to force him to give evidence against Assange. The defense also raised the issue of his gender identity disorder, whether it had affected his judgment, and whether the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy had made it difficult for Manning to serve in the army.

According to RT, leaders of the United States have insulted the intelligence of the rest of the world, three Nobel Peace Prize laureates wrote earlier this month.

As people who have worked for decades against the increased militarization of societies and for international cooperation to end war, we are deeply dismayed by the treatment of Pfc Bradley Manning.Questioning authority, as a soldier, is not easy. But it can at times be honorable. The words attributed to Manning reveal that he went through a profound moral struggle between the time he enlisted and when he became a whistleblower. Through his experience in Iraq, he became disturbed by top-level policy that undervalued human life and caused the suffering of innocent civilians and soldiers. Like other courageous whistleblowers, he was driven foremost by a desire to reveal the truth.Private Manning said in chat logs that he hoped the releases would bring ‘discussion, debates and reforms’ and condemned the ways the ‘first world exploits the third,’”the laureates write. “Much of the world regards him as a hero for these efforts toward peace and transparency, and he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as a result. However, much as when high-ranking officials in the United States and Britain misled the public in 2003 by saying there was an imminent need to invade Iraq to stop it from using weapons of mass destruction, the world’s most powerful elites have again insulted international opinion and the intelligence of many citizens by withholding facts regarding Manning and WikiLeaks. The military prosecution has not presented evidence that Private Manning injured anyone by releasing secret documents, and it has asserted in court that the charge of ‘aiding the enemy through indirect means’ does not require it to do so. Nor has the prosecution denied that his motivations were conscientious; it has simply argued they are irrelevant. In ignoring this context and recommending a much more severe punishment for Bradley Manning than is given to US soldiers guilty of murdering civilians, military leadership is sending a chilling warning to other soldiers who might feel compelled by conscience to reveal misdeeds. It is our belief that leaders who use fear to govern, rather than sharing wisdom born from facts, cannot be just.I may have been on the wrong side of the government, but in my heart I’m on the right side of history,”

If Manning’s lawyers fail to sway the judges this week in his pretrial hearing,, the 24-year-old may face life imprisonment if he is convicted of aiding the enemy. He will testify in a pretrial hearing in Fort Meade, Maryland later this week. Before writing this article, I had always supported the release of Bradley Manning, but I myself didn’t even understand the depths which this case held. Manning, whether gay or straight, or male or female, is in my eyes nothing less then a true American hero as well as an example for mankind to follow. His story should be one of enlightenment, not of ridicule, and told to everyone who supports and end to the military industrial complex that the US leads the front of. I in no way feel that the soldiers committing the acts that Manning exposed are defending my freedoms, and are only creating more terrorists in the process. This should be an example to the gay-bashing community the amount of integrity and intelligence and charisma that can come from a gay soldier, a true defender of freedom and democracy, and human rights for all people, despite nationalities, race, religious beliefs, and the like. Manning has been nominated twice for the Nobel peace prize, and if Obama can get one, this man deserves two.

While it may sound like something out of an episode of the X-Files, fiction it is not. Researchers from the Desert Research Institute located in Victoria Valley, Antarctica have discovered microbes living beneath the frozen Lake Vida , in a watery brine that rests below more than 50 feet of solid ice.  The different forms of bacteria were found in water so salty it is unable to freeze at its temperature of 8 degrees Fahrenheit (-13 degrees Celsius).

The salt content of the water beneath the ice is five to six times greater than the average ocean water and is mildly acidic. The layer of ice’s thickness has kept the water and brine isolated for thousands of years.

According to researcher Peter Doran, an earth scientist at the University of Illinois at Chicago,

The brine had very high levels of carbon-based compounds, the building blocks of life. It also possessed high levels of chemicals that generally react with each other, such as nitrous oxide and molecular hydrogen, suggesting they were being regularly replenished — a surprising discovery, given how the lake was isolated for millennia from any obvious external sources of energy to help create them. The overall chemistry of this brine suggests that chemical reactions between the water and the underlying sediment generated the reactive chemicals seen in the brine. The molecular hydrogen seen in the brine might serve as a fuel source to help support its microbial life.

Doran, Alison Murray and their colleagues detailed their findings online Nov. 26 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Many Researchers from several nations, including Russia, have been searching lakes all over Antarctica for signs of life. To reach the brine, the researchers used drills and heated pipes to dig deeper. To avoid contaminating this isolated ecosystem, researchers set up a “clean room” on top of the hole, wearing the type of white suits used in electronics and germ labs to keep conditions as sterile and free of contamination as possible.

This is another example of the harsh environments that can support life. Many environments once though impossible to support life are now contradicting previous scientific beliefs, therefore widening the search for life on other planets throughout the universe. According to Doran,

“By seeing what the boundaries of life are on Earth, that helps us when we go out and look for examples elsewhere.Years ago, we never would have thought to look for life in the sub-surface of Mars, and now we have examples on Earth that things can live down there.”

US Treasury Borrows $24 Billion On Black Friday

Fox Shepard November 27, 2012

The U.S. Treasury increased the net debt of the United States  by $24,327,048,384.38 on Black Friday, which equals approximately $211.69 for each of the nation’s 114,916,000 households. This is the highest the debt has been  in U.S. history.

According to Census Bureau estimates,  as of September, there were exactly 114,916,000 households in the United States. So, according to the numbers, the $24,327,048,384.38 that the Treasury borrowed on Friday equaled about $211.69 per household.

U.S debt has never topped $16.3 trillion, but on Friday, we made history. As the business clock stopped ticking on Wednesday, according to the Treasury, the national debt was $16,283,161,895,179.85 The treasury celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday, taking the day off with no borrowing occurring. But as the clock resumed on Friday, $16,307,488,943,564.23 was the total of the national debt.  $24,327,048,384.38 was the exact number borrowed in one day.

Less then two months ago, President Obama, in an interview with 60 minutes, denied responsibility of the debt problems we are facing.

Over the last four years, the deficit has gone up, but 90 percent of that is as a consequence of two wars that were not paid for, as a consequence of tax cuts that were not paid for, a prescription drug plan that was not paid for, and then the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression,”

When President Barack Obama first took office in 2009, the national debt was $10.6 trillion. Throughout the course of his presidency, it has increased by $5.7 trillion – the equivalent of nearly $50,000 per household.

3-D Printing And How It Will Change The World

Posted: November 28, 2012 by Fox Shepard in Science and Technology

Fox Shepard November 27, 2012

What is 3-D printing? If you were to put it into an actual definition, it  might be described as a machine capable of using digital files to construct a physical object. You can take this object and use it anyway you would like depending on what you have created. It can be used to construct everything from computer parts to motherboards, appliance parts, toys, art, dinner plates, guitars, and now even guns. At the press of a few buttons into a computer, the machine breaks down each layer of an object using “blueprints” from the digital files, then builds the object layer by layer. This isn’t much different from how a modern factory works, and they have actually been in use for decades.

A Small Scale 3-D Printer

Every 3-D printed object begins using a digital Computer Aided Design (CAD) file, created by a 3-D modeling program, or being scanned into a 3-D modeling program using a  3-D scanner. In order to get the newly created digital file into instructions that a 3-D printer understands, software slices the design into hundred or thousands of horizontal  layers. The 3-D printer reads this file, and proceeds to create each layer exactly to specification with no mistakes at all.. As the layers are created, they blend together           with no hint of the layering visible, resulting in one three-dimensional object.

The 3-D printer could be a Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printer, somewhat similar to current 2-D inkjet printers but with an additional axis, which deposits droplets of melted material through a nozzle to form each layer. It could be a selective laser Sintering (SLS) printer, where the object is built up in a bed of powdered material by a scanning laser beam that fuses bits of the powder together, again, one layer at a time. This is similar to how a regular inkjet printer works, yet instead of ink, they use liquid metals and other materials.

3-D printing is also known as “additive manufacturing,” by using an “additive process.” This is as opposed to what is called a “subtractive process.”  An easy way to explain the difference, is to imagine a sculptor chiseling at a block of stone — he chips away until he has the sculpture just as he wants it, and then throws out what’s been whittled away. He began with block of material and then subtracted from it. This is a subtractive process. In the manufacturing world, this is analogous to material being cut, drilled, milled or machined off. But in additive manufacturing, the 3-D printer does not take anything away — it simply creates each bit of the object where it needs it, layer by layer, successively, in an additive process.

There are several types of 3-D printers, and they may use different processes to achieve their goal. The three main types, although there are others being developed, are Steroelithography (SLA), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS).  The other minor types are  Selective Laser Melting (SLM) and Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM). SLM is very close to SLS, but instead uses an electron beam laser rather than a UV laser, and also heats it at a lower temperature.

A Guitar Created Using A 3-D Printer

The First 3-D printer was designed in 1986 by Charles Hall, using the SLA method. This basically works by concentrating a beam of ultraviolet light focused onto the surface of a vat filled with liquid photocurable photopolymer (resin). The UV laser beam draws out the 3-D model one thin layer at a time, hardening each “slice” of the eventual 3-D model as the light hits the resin. Layer after layer  are created, with each one bonded to the other, and next thing you know you have a full, extremely high-resolution three-dimensional model lifted out of the vat.

At a later time in the 1980’s, Carl Deckard and colleagues at the University of Texas in Austin.  created SLS, which works similarly to SLA, but instead of liquid photopolymer in a vat, you’ll find powered materials, such as  nylon, glass, polystyrene, ceramics,  and several metals including  titanium, aluminum, steel and silver. When the laser hits on the powder, it is fused at that point (sintered). All unsintered powder remains as is, and becomes a support structure for the object. The lack of necessity for any support structure with SLS is an advantage over  SLA — none to remove after the model is complete, and no extra waste was created. All unused powder can be used for the next printing.

Scott Crump was the inventor of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology. With patent in hand, he and his wife founded Stratasys in 1988. With FDM, the object is produced by extruding small beads of melted thermoplastic material to form layers as the material hardens immediately after it leaves the extrusion nozzle. It is one of the lesser expensive 3-D printing methods. Most FDM printers print with ABS plastic (think Lego), as well as PLA (Polylactic acid), a biodegradable polymer, which is produced from organic material.

So what does all of this have to do with the people? If you haven’t already guessed, this technology will eventually control all aspects of our lives. It will replace countless jobs, countless careers, and change the face of the world as we know it. And this isn’t some distant sci-fi idea, it is already in use and implemented commercially and personally all over the world. People are designing pretty much anything you can think of. Factories are designing ways to replace all workers except for maybe a dozen to maintain the 3-d printers. Those manufacturing  jobs that politicians keep promising  may never come back at all. Why would a corporation pay human workers, who can make mistakes, need healthcare, have needs, and need breaks, when you can use a machine that needs none of these?

A 3-d printer for personal use with the app on the computer screen

The future holds great promise for the developers of these, as growth of 3-d printers is expected to increase 20%-30% each year for the next six years. It was a $200 million dollar business so far in 2012 alone, and as units become more efficient and the price continues to drop, they may be as common as a computer within the next decade. While personal models are currently available, for under $1,000, the most efficient printers for personal use appear to be around $2,000-$5,000. They can be used to create virtually anything you can imagine, from tools like a screwdriver or wrench, to caps or crowns for your teeth without going to a dentist. And as demand grows, so will the apps for designs.

So what does this hold for the future? Eventually, we could build these things on a much larger scale to replace all aspects of construction. The process of building a concrete foundation has already been accomplished, and design to build entire buildings are already in the works. Imagine a machine that could design a house or skyscraper flawlessly without endangering any human life. The possibilities are almost limitless. While this could hurt the current economy system, it could replace the need to depend on large corporations to get our products, when you could design them in your very own home. It could also be the basis of a resource based economy. It could be the most efficient way to use materials and resources commercially, without wasted material from mistakes and accidents on the job. It could replace often the most underpaid and hardest jobs to enable more people to invest their time in careers of higher education, therefore benefiting the entire society. It has been said that technological advancement every ten years in the 21st Century will be equal to all advancements in the 20th century. I used to question if that would be true, but looking at 2000 to 2010, it is hard to argue that statement.

Waking Up To Chemtrails

Posted: November 6, 2012 by Fox Shepard in Health, Science and Technology, USA, World

Dave Carlson November 6th, 2012

When it comes to Chemtrails, I was just like most people. I was unaware of what was really going on in our world. It started a few years ago when I really began to see what was happening to us right under our noses for years now. You see for me it’s very hard to know that what I believe and know to be true about Chemtrails, were not shared by some.

A very good and eye opening documentary to watch about chemtrails is called “What In The World Are They Spraying?”  The documentary is available for free on YouTube and is an excellent film for beginners on the subject.

We are in a time of disinformation, and straight out lies are being told to the American people and the entire world for that matter! We are being told one thing through the mainstream media, but the media is ran by big corporations and governments, but that is a different story for another time. You are only being told what they want you to know and that is it.

It wasn’t until congressman Dennis Kucinich submitted bill no. HR 2977 IH, which proposed a ban on the weaponization of space, that Chemtrails were first acknowledged as a reality. One of the weapons systems listed in the bill is “Chemtrails” and until now our government has denied this and said it was nothing more than a bunch of conspiracy theories.

Airline companies in America have been participating in something called Project Cloverleaf for some years now. Airplane employees who were briefed on it had to undergo background checks and before being briefed also had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, stating that if they were to talk about this that they would be imprisoned.

There are so many lies being told to us about everything and anything these days. It is out of control and needs to be stopped before it’s too late! We can’t just do nothing anymore! We need to take back our country, are freedom, and all the rights that have been stripped away from us in the past and especially the past 4 years now….We can start standing together to fight back against this chemical war that is being waged against us. We need to take back our planet and our government and start all over again. Even if you think it won’t affect you just stop and think about your children, grandchildren, and generations to come of your family and friends family. Whether you realize it or not, it is affecting you, your family, and your friends, right now, today.! It will continue to affect you and your family for years to come if we don’t start now!

It has been time to start pushing back for far too long, and the time is now to tell them that this is enough and we won’t take it another day longer! We had that power and we have given it away to those who have abused it for way too long now. They are profiting on your being, your soul, and your rights to freedom. Let’s take that power back and make sure this time we are all given equal power, and to never give back that power to one entity again! Please start empowering yourself with facts and start doing the research yourself and stop believing what you are being told by the people that are suppose to look out for your best interest. Awake yourself and let’s start living the way we were meant to, not as consumers but as human beings.

(Santa Fe, NM) A lawsuit has been filed against Policeman Christopher Webb and the New Mexico Department of Public Safety on behalf of a ten-year old boy who was tased by Webb. On May 4, as the boy, identified only as R.D., attended class at Tularosa New Mexico Intermediate School, he was shot with 50,000 volts of electricity in a not so intelligent demonstration by officer Webb.

The boy’s legal guardian, Rachel Higgins, filed a complaint stating “Defendant Webb asked the boy, R.D., in a group of boys, who would like to clean his patrol unit,” . “A number of boys said that they would. R.D., joking, said that he did not want to clean the patrol unit.”
Defendant Webb responded by pointing his taser at R.D. and saying, ‘Let me show you what happens to people who do not listen to the police.'”

It was at this point that Webb pointed the taser at R.D. and fired two barbs into the boy’s chest,  sending 50,000 volts throughout the child’s body. But it doesn’t end here. The boy, obviously terrified, loses consciousness after attempting to remove the barbed hooks from his skin.”Instead of calling for medical personnelOfficer Webb pulled out the barbs and took the boy to the school principal’s office,” . The complaint claims this has left scars that resemble ‘cigarette burns’.

Representatives of the boy also said he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder since the ‘attack’ occurred. Guardian Higgins told the court today “The boy, R.D., has woken up in the middle of the night holding his chest, afraid he is never going to wake up again,”

The boys guardian is suing for multiple complaints, from battery to failure to render medical care. She stated at the hearing “No reasonable officer confronting a situation where the need for force is at its lowest, on a playground with elementary age children, would have deployed the Taser in so reckless a manner as to cause physical and psychological injury.”

“Frankenstorm” Hits East Coast Of US-Will FEMA Make A Move?

Posted: October 29, 2012 by Fox Shepard in USA

Fox Shepard Oct 29, 2012

The “Frankenstorm” known as Hurricane Sandy has hit the east coast of the United States as experts predict as many as 60 million people will be affected by the storm. The storm  is set to transform into a “super storm,” as the tropical storm merges with a winter storm and a cold front, threatening up to 12 inches of rainfall in some areas and heavy snow inland.

Evacuations have been ordered from Maryland to Maine, and some are already feeling the effects of the hurricane along the coast. Some have chosen to stay behind, which could cause major problems  for rescue efforts if they change their minds later on. This is set to be one of the biggest storms in history.

Most people were not prepared for the storm, and a rise in empty shelves as well as gas shortages have been reported all along the coast because of last-minute demands. Some gas stations have simply run out of fuel as stores are reporting the same thing with canned goods and water.

As has been the result of many storms over the past decade, our aging power grid will be the cause of many problems, with power outages expected to last for days to weeks. The 105 mile-an-hour winds are expected to blow many trees into power lines, and because of last years Fukushima accident, 26 nuclear plants have shut down their power in hopes of preventing a similar accident. However, it takes days for the reactors to cool, so there is still a possibility of radiation being released if the damage is sufficient enough to a reactor.

Mass evacuations already began over the weekend, with many major areas becoming “ghost towns”. The imminent arrival of Hurricane Sandy saw many parts of New York turned into a ghost town. Authorities ordered the closing of most public transit lines and major highways, and are helping residents to evacuate the city.

Remembering FEMA and the involvement in Katrina

Let us not forget how well citizens of the United States were treated after hurricane Katrina hit in 2005 by FEMA.  Not only did they not evacuate tens of thousands of people, but they turned away helicopters and civilian airplanes from aiding in evacuating citizens while they did nothing to evacuate anyone themselves. Doctors, who were wanting to help the sick and dying, were forced to janitorial duties because they were not authorized by FEMA to help perform medical duties. News station helicopters flew overhead of the 15,000 starving people who were told by FEMA to go there for food and shelter, as the people resorted to violence over remaining resources which were later found to only be enough for 10,000 people for 3 days. Those who tried to help were turned away by FEMA. Hundreds of deaths and rapes were later confirmed as result of FEMA’s handling of the situation, or lack there of as we could say now.

One of the most terrifying events of Katrina wasn’t the storm itself, it was the end result of government intervention after the damage had been done. On September 8, 2005, city-wide order by New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass to local police, U.S. Army National Guard soldiers, and Deputy U.S. Marshals to confiscate all civilian-held firearms. “No one will be able to be armed,” Compass said. “Guns will be taken. Only law enforcement will be allowed to have guns.” Seizures were carried out without warrant, and in some cases with excessive force; one instance captured on film involved 58 year old New Orleans resident Patricia Konie. Konie stayed behind, in her well provisioned home, and had an old revolver for protection. A group of police entered the house, and when she refused to surrender her revolver, she was tackled and it was removed by force. Konie’s shoulder was fractured, and she was taken into police custody for failing to surrender her firearm. Even U.S. Army National Guard soldiers, armed with M-16-assault rifles, were used for house to house searches, seizing firearms and attempting to get those remaining in the city to leave.

Soon after the confiscations local police began shooting civilians, many of which have went unreported according to locals. However, one case was brought to light of such an event after one of five police officers in New Orleans came forward about helping to cover up such murders, which eventually led to 2 of them pleading guilty and being convicted of murder, and three others for aiding in covering up the murders.

President Obama issues executive order to take control of all resources in a Federal Emergency

With all of this information being known, we should all be prepared for the worst with the oncoming storm and the problems we may face as result of such a powerful storm and such a corrupt government. On March 16, President Barack Obama updated and signed an executive order that allows the government to take control of all resources in such an event that they deem fit to declare as a “Federal Emergency”.

Sec. 201. Priorities and Allocations Authorities. (a) The authority of the President conferred by section 101 of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2071, to require acceptance and priority performance of contracts or orders (other than contracts of employment) to promote the national defense over performance of any other contracts or orders, and to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense, is delegated to the following agency heads:

(1) the Secretary of Agriculture with respect to food resources, food resource facilities, livestock resources, veterinary resources, plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment and commercial fertilizer;

(2) the Secretary of Energy with respect to all forms of energy;

(3) the Secretary of Health and Human Services with respect to health resources;

(4) the Secretary of Transportation with respect to all forms of civil transportation;

(5) the Secretary of Defense with respect to water resources; and

(6) the Secretary of Commerce with respect to all other materials, services, and facilities, including construction materials.

(e) “Food resources” means all commodities and products, (simple, mixed, or compound), or complements to such commodities or products, that are capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals, irrespective of other uses to which such commodities or products may be put, at all stages of processing from the raw commodity to the products thereof in vendible form for human or animal consumption. “Food resources” also means potable water packaged in commercially marketable containers, all starches, sugars, vegetable and animal or marine fats and oils, seed, cotton, hemp, and flax fiber, but does not mean any such material after it loses its identity as an agricultural commodity or agricultural product.

After seeing how FEMA handles Katrina, I am worried about allowing the President or the government to handle such situations, especially in the matter of resources. Could this be the event that allows such an order to be used?

(New York City,NY) 19-year-old Shamiur Rahman has officially come clean about his “double-life” as a paid informant for the NYPD. After a string of minor Marijuana related arrests, he was granted “immunity” and received $1,000 per month in exchange for information. Using a tactic called ‘create and capture’ he would start conversations about terrorism with other Muslims, and then send the information back to the NYPD so they could monitor the new ‘suspects’.

Rahim detailed in an interview with Associated Press how he was first approached after his third marijuana arrest to go to different mosques, classes, organizations and other events to get opinions on anti american thoughts or just personal feelings towards the government, as well as more personal information like license plate numbers, cellphone numbers, and personal addresses. Rahman said himself his work was extremely ‘detrimental to the constitution’.

Rahim said his work was mainly fueled by profit. He was given assignments by a NYPD ‘handler’ named “Steve”, whose number was disconnected shortly after the interview went public. Rahman collected photos, infiltrated college classrooms, and faked becoming friends with people just to collect information on them. At first, Rahman considered himself a ‘hero’ who was simply helping to do the right thing. His feelings later changed after he revealed his secret life to personal friends.

While police have been monitoring Muslims since the 2001 attacks, they have often denied using such tactics. They have however admitted to pointing cameras directly at mosques as well as tracking license plates and listening to conversation at different events.

One of Rahmans’  first assignments was to monitor a student group at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. He was instructed to find out  who the leaders of the group were, as well as collecting a list of everyone associated with the group.

John Jay president Jeremy Travis publicly announced Tuesday that police had not told the school about the surveillance. He did not comment on whether or not he believed the strategy was appropriate.”As an academic institution, we are committed to the free expression of ideas and to creating a safe learning environment for all of our students,” he said in a written statement. ”

Rahman, who was born in Queens, said he never witnessed any criminal activity or saw anybody do anything wrong. “I was trying to get money,” Rahman said. “I was playing the game.”

So why should anyone other than a Muslim be worried? Because Rahman later stated that he eventually began ‘watching everyone and everything’ and returning info back to the NYPD. Rahman also said that there were many informants completing his same task. His handler “Steve”  also told him to report on anything considered radical thought. Therefore, anyone saying anything in the sense of anti-government would be turned in and tracked, regardless of religious background.

In this day and age, with all of the current technology available to watch us, and ever-increasing advances in such fields, we should all be concerned about how far our governments, whether on a federal, state, or local level are willing to take it. Cameras are almost a regular occurence in most urban areas. Cars are set to all have GPS and black boxes by 2015,  and we got the see something say something campaign, self-created FBI terror plots, smartphones are being tracked, as well as our personal emails and everything we do on our computers. Now the American public has to worry about the possibility of someone befriending them simply to report their personal religious beliefs, thoughts on government, and just our lives in general to people we do not even know just to be put on a list to be watched.

Surely this is only the beginning of the totalitarian society our nation is becoming. How long will it be before another person comes clean abut being an informant in other cities across the country? How long before Christians or Atheists begin being watched? How do we know they are not already?  If you do enough digging into events like this, you will realize that big brother isn’t something that we should be worried about happening, because it is already here.

(Hecker,Ill) According to the Monroe County Independent, a mass UFO sighting was reported over southwestern Illinois on Tuesday night. Locals gathered to observe the object over the skies, taking photographs and some using telescopes to see the object up close.

Residents in the town of Hecker, Illinois captured photos of the image that first appeared just after 7 p.m. hovering just over the horizon northeast of the town. The object was said to have been stationary and changing colors from red, green, orange, and blue.

Sometime just after 8 p.m, a second object appeared over the Freeburg area and was said to be also changing colors. After residents contacted local police, Deputies from Monroe and St. Clair counties responded to the scene and reported that the sightings were in fact real, but after concluding that they did not appear to be causing any harm or represent any danger to the public, left the onlookers to observe.

KMOV4 reported that  the Deputies did contact the local Scott Air Force Base and they claimed they did  not have any air craft flying in that part of the area. The station showed the photos to experts at James S. McDonnell Planetarium in St. Louis.  They suspect that the first light was a star named Capella, and that the second light was Jupiter. Planets and stars have been known to change colors on the horizon. Meteors from the showers expected at the time were ruled out, since they are fast-moving bright streaks of light.

Freeburg, IL resident Judy Rachell told KTVI that she and her husband observed this same UFO back in early October. To her, the object looked like “the sun had shrunken down to . . . the size of a soccer ball.”
